HighChem Company Limited (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo President and CEO: Ushio Taka hereinafter referred to as HighChem), will begin operations at its new office in Toranomon, Minato-ku, Tokyo from October 5, 2020, following the relocation of its headquarters. This move is strategically aimed at fostering increased collaboration opportunities, enhancing employee satisfaction, and improving operational efficiencies, all in view of scaling the business. The new location positions HighChem to significantly boost its communications and partnerships within the vibrant business ecosystem of Tokyo.
The design concept of the new office is "Pride and peace of mind." The overall theme is earth tones, with green sprinkled throughout, with the aim of creating a harmonious balance of warmth and functionality, with the aim of creating a place where employees can work with peace of mind, feeling like a second home, while feeling hopeful for the future.
In the office area, we have adopted free addresses for each organization, aiming to go paperless and improve work efficiency. Additionally, in order to improve communication among employees, we have created a refreshment room that is more than five times the size of the current one. The refreshment room is fully glass-walled and has a great view, allowing for meetings and multipurpose use in an open atmosphere. We have also installed a family seat-type meeting box that is perfect for small meetings, and a standing meeting space, enriching the communication area to suit a variety of purposes.
Furthermore, at the same time as adding conference rooms, we also installed acrylic board partitions to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus, so that we can safely hold meetings with our customers and business partners even during the coronavirus pandemic. In addition, since it is directly connected to the station, transportation convenience is also improved.

Since its establishment, HighChem has been engaged in import/export sales and outsourced manufacturing of Chemicals as a "Bridge between Japan and China." In addition, as part of our C1 Chemicals (organic chemical process for synthesizing chemical products from a single carbon atom, such as CO or CO2) business, we license SEG® technology, which uses synthetic gas as raw material to produce ethylene glycol from non-petroleum sources. We also operate a catalyst manufacturing and sales business. In recent years, C1 Chemicals have shown great potential for application in carbon recycling, biodegradable plastic, and as a trigger for the realization of a hydrogen society.
By relocating our head office, we aim to increase communication opportunities both inside and outside the company, expand our business, and realize a sustainable society.
