HighChem Company Limited (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo President and CEO: Ushio Taka, hereinafter referred to as HighChem) exhibited at the Shanghai International Advanced Ceramics Exhibition, held at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center from May 23rd to 25th, and promoted Ceramic binder "Serander®" to the Chinese market.

In January 2020, HighChem took over the business of the ceramic forming binder 'Serander®' from Yuken Industries Co., Ltd., assuming responsibilities for its manufacturing and sales. Leveraging its robust sales network in China, HighChem has intensified its efforts to expand in the Chinese market. Last year, Serander® was selected as a material for 5G smartphones by a major Chinese mobile phone manufacturer, highlighting HighChem's role as a bridge between Japanese innovation and the Chinese market. This success underpins HighChem's strategy to accelerate the deployment of 'Japan's unique products' in China.

In addition, at HighChem Tokyo Research Center, which was completed on May 31st, we have begun preparations to begin manufacturing Serander® in-house from 2022, and have also established a ceramic binder development laboratory. We also plan to respond to new demand.

Exhibiting at this exhibition is part of HighChem's business expansion in China, and we have successfully acquired over 150 new customers. The customers who stopped by our booth spanned a wide range of applications, with Serander® focusing on structural ceramics, industrial ceramics, and electronic ceramics. We focused on its excellent performance.

China's ceramics industry is following a development path similar to Japan's, and is developing, albeit slowly, in a high-end direction. As a professional ceramic additive supplier, HighChem takes the rapid development of China's precision ceramics industry as an opportunity to expand its customer base in a more stable manner.
