"Serander® Chiba Facility Awarded ISO 9001: Showcasing Japanese Engineering and World-Class Quality Assurance for Expansion into China"
HighChem Company Limited (Headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Taka Ushio, hereinafter referred to as HighChem) proudly announces that its Chiba factory, the production site for the ceramic molding binder "Serander®," has been awarded the ISO 9001 certification as of July 22, 2022. This international standard for quality management systems underscores HighChem's commitment to excellence.
"Serander®," a business line acquired from Yuken Industrial Co., Ltd. in January 2020, initiated trial production in March 2022 at the newly established Chiba facility, located within the HighChem Tokyo Research Institute in Kashiwa City, Chiba Prefecture. The full manufacturing transfer from Yuken Industrial is projected to be completed by 2025. The attainment of the ISO 9001 certification ensures a foundation for consistent product and service quality, aimed at boosting customer satisfaction and reinforcing readiness for the facility's full-scale operation in 2025.
The Serander®, which brings together Japan's advanced technologies, is gaining attention in the Chinese market!
Since taking over the business in January 2020, "Serander®" has been increasing its presence in China's ceramics industry, with HighChem's sales capabilities in China proving successful and being adopted as a material for 5G smartphones by major mobile phone manufacturers. In particular, the additive's ability to improve the density, strength, and crack resistance of Serander® has been highly praised by the Chinese market. Furthermore, we are planning to exhibit at a ceramics exhibition scheduled to be held in Shanghai in November of this year, and will respond to further demands in the Chinese market with Japan's solid technological capabilities and world-class quality assurance.
HighChem is set to enhance its business role as a bridge between Japan and China by actively expanding into the Chinese market with other unique Japanese technologies, using the success of "Serlander®" as a foundation. This initiative aims to capitalize on the distinctive capabilities developed in Japan and introduce them to a broader audience, reinforcing and expanding bilateral commercial relationships.
