HighChem Company Limited (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo President and CEO: Ushio Taka, hereinafter refered to as HighChem) has entered into a distribution agreement with Yuanli Chemical Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Yuanli Chemical) for the tanker sales of "1,6-Hexanediol" within Japan. Starting this summer, HighChem will commence sales in collaboration with AMAKASU CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES (hereinafter referred to as Amakasu Chemical).

"1,6-Hexanediol" is a chemical used as a raw material for polyurethane for paints, polyester resins, polycarbonate diol resins, and other products. It is a chemical with a stable global demand forecasted to continue into the future. Yuanli Chemical ranks as the world's second-largest supplier of 1,6-Hexanediol, following BASF. There is also a significant market for it within Japan. However, due to changes in the domestic supply structure, there has been a strong demand from many customers for stable future supplies.
About HighChem sales system for "1,6-hexanediol"
With the commencement of sales, a storage tank for 1,6-Hexanediol has been installed in Osaka in collaboration with Amakasu Chemical, which boasts a strong sales network for domestic distribution of fine chemicals. This development allows for the supply of 1,6-Hexanediol by Yuanli Chemical to the Japanese market not only via ISO tank containers but also now through tank lorries, enabling supply to a wider range of demand, including customers who wish for delivery in smaller amounts.
