HighChem to Showcase Nucleic Acid and Peptide Solid Phase Synthesis Resins by China’s SUNRESIN at CPHI

HighChem Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Ushio Taka; hereinafter referred to as "HighChem") will be exhibiting at CPHI JAPAN (International Pharmaceutical Development Expo) from April 17 to 19, 2024 at Tokyo Big Sight (Booth No.: 6F-14). At this event, HighChem will introduce "Seplife®," the nucleic acid and peptide solid phase synthesis resins from Sunresin New Materials Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Sunresin"), with whom HighChem entered into an exclusive distributor agreement last year. HighChem is actively promoting the expansion of these products in the Japanese market.

What is Solid Phase Synthesis?

Solid phase synthesis is a method in which target molecules (nucleic acid monomers or modified amino acids) are sequentially linked to pre-attached molecules (linkers) on the surface of bead-shaped resins to synthesize medium-to-long chain molecules. The medium-sized compounds obtained through this synthesis method enable the development of new therapeutic drugs, expanding treatment options for various diseases. This method is particularly revolutionary in the field of drug development for rare diseases and unmet medical needs.
