HighChem Tokyo Headquarters Expands! Employees Introduce the Newly Renovated Visitor Space
Until now, we had our work area and meeting room area on the 11th floor, but as our number of employees has increased, we have decided to make the 10th floor a meeting room area mainly for visitors, and the 11th floor a work area.
The meeting room area was completed on October 23rd! Today, Mr. Oshita from the General Affairs Department, who was in charge of the expansion, gave us a tour of the new meeting rooms.
Welcoming our guests with a bridge that embodies “We are the BRIDGE”
The entrance to welcome our guests has been made larger than before. The motif is a bridge that was created with our mission, “We are the BRIDGE”, in mind. It features installed LEDs, and the color can be changed by the guests. Our guests from China tend to prefer red, so you can change it to red when they visit.
A large meeting room that can accommodate up to 48 people!
As soon as you enter the meeting room space, on your left are the large meeting rooms “Hito” and “Wa”. Each can accommodate 24 people, but they can also be connected to be used as one large meeting room. It’s a very large space where we could even hold small events.
At HighChem, we often host visiting groups from China and hold many exchange meetings in the meeting room every year. Sometimes, we even host large visiting groups of more than 20 people. In the new meeting room, we made sure to have a fairly large space to accommodate any large visiting group.
If we remove the partitions, we can also plan small internal events. At HighChem, we hold dumpling parties in the office at the end of the fiscal year and during the Lunar New Year. One of the purposes of this renewal is to invigorate internal exchanges, so we hope that all employees will make good use of it.
A Chinese-style reception room “中” that offers Chinese hospitality
In the Chinese-style reception room, we have incorporated a taste that allows you to feel Chinese culture. Also, to embody Chinese hospitality, we are considering installing Chinese tea utensils. Since Chinese tea requires etiquette, we would like to hold a workshop on the etiquette of Chinese tea in the company at some point.
This scroll of a panda was given to HighChem on the occasion of its 25th anniversary from a major trading partner in China. In China, pandas are considered lucky and seem to be very valuable. It has become a suitable decoration for this Chinese-style reception room.
A Japanese-style reception room “日” that offers Japanese hospitality
In the Japanese-style reception room, we have decorated with shoji screens and installed tatami-style chairs. This stone is real. We hope you can proceed with negotiations in a calm Japanese atmosphere.
Meeting rooms based on the corporate color blue
In addition, as meeting rooms, there are four rooms for six people, two rooms for eight people, and one room for ten people. Each meeting room has wallpaper in the corporate color of blue. It’s also a feature that the blue is slightly different in each room. Blue has many wonderful shades.
Thank you, Mr. Oshita, for your guidance today!
We hope that everyone will take a tour when you visit HighChem.
