HighChem's biodegradable plastic initiatives

HighChem has entered into a business strategic partnership agreement with BBCA group China's largest PLA manufacturer, and has been working to develop the market for biodegradable plastic. We also have a system in place to sell a total of seven types of biodegradable plastic from China, including not only PLA but also PHBV, which decomposes in the ocean. Furthermore, in December of last year, we announced HIGHLACT™, a next-generation Sustainable Material using PLA, and improved the quality of PLA fiber through integrated production management from resin raw materials to fabric. Through these efforts, we have built a system that allows us to comprehensively propose everything from Biodegradable Materials to fibers, molded products, and films.
