HighChem Commences Feasibility Study on Deploying Carbon Recycling Technology in Taiwan, Selected for NEDO's Carbon Recycling Project

HighChem Company Limited (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo President and CEO: Ushio Taka hereinafter referred to as HighChem), in collaboration with the Coal Frontier Organization (hereinafter referred to as JCOAL), is pleased to announce its selection for the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization's (NEDO) project on "International Cooperation for Carbon Recycling and Decarbonization Technologies in Thermal Power Generation/ Investigation of Carbon Recycling and Decarbonization Technologies/ Feasibility Study on the Overseas Deployment of Carbon Recycling and Decarbonization Technologies". HighChem has been chosen to conduct a feasibility study on the potential deployment of carbon recycling technology in Taiwan.

1. Overview
Towards carbon neutrality in 2050, "carbon recycling," which treats CO2 as a raw material and reuses it, is positioned as an important field in the green growth strategy. This business survey targets countries that are interested in Japan's carbon recycling and decarbonization technologies, and considers the possibility of deploying and disseminating the technology to these countries. JCOAL and HighChem have recently been selected to jointly conduct a survey on the possibility of deploying carbon recycling in Taiwan. In this survey, we will collect information on Taiwan's policy trends and market outlook, identify potential partner organizations, and conduct a survey to find potential possibilities and proceed with concrete future considerations.
