HighChem Company Limited (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President: Taka-Ushio, hereinafter referred to as HighChem) has entered into a sales agency contract with Jiao Zou Runhua Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. (Runhua Chemical) of China for the distribution of the general chemical product hexamine. The sales territory for this product encompasses Japan and overseas Japanese companies.

About hexamine

Hexamine, a versatile chemical used as a hardening agent in resins, a blowing agent in rubber and synthetic resins, and a raw material in pharmaceuticals, faces concerns of the stability of supply in Japan. This is due to the anticipated production withdrawal of a major company in 2023.

HighChem has a longstanding trading history with Runhua Chemical, and this new sales agency agreement ensures a stable supply of hexamine. Runhua Chemical, with a production capacity of 220,000 tons of formalin and 30,000 tons of hexamine annually, is China's largest hexamine producer. They also offer high-purity crushed products with over 99.0% purity, catering to a broader range of demands.
