HIGHLACT® Debuts at Milan's International Yarn and Textile Fair "Filo"
Exhibiting New Products: 100% PLA Fleece & Chino Fabrics
HighChem Co., Ltd. (HighChem) will exhibit its corn-derived polylactic acid (PLA) fiber, HIGHLACT® at the 61st edition of Filo in Milan, Italy—an international yarn and textile fair. At Filo, we will also showcase our newly developed 100% PLA fleece and chino fabrics.
HighChem aims to increase the presence of the PLA fiber in Europe, a material gaining attention as a new sustainable material. Following our second exhibition at Filo, we plan to participate in the world-renowned textile fair Milano Unica in July. Through these active efforts, we strive to enhance the recognition of HIGHLACT® in Europe.

At this exhibition, HighChem will display its specialty in formal black fabrics alongside the newly developed 100% PLA fleece and chino fabrics. We will also present a collection of the latest 100% PLA filament yarns, spun yarns, including a new collection of PLA knit yarns (including fancy yarns blended with washi paper).
100% PLA Fleece:
Introducing innovative products such as boa fleece, microfleece, and polar fleece made entirely from 100% biomass-derived materials, without using any petroleum-based products.
100% PLA Chino:
Utilizing 100% PLA fabric as an alternative to cotton significantly reduces water usage, addressing a major challenge in cotton production.
100% PLA Knit Yarn:
Launching a general book of HIGHLACT® knit yarn at the fair, showcasing a collection of 100% PLA spun and filament yarns.
